What’s the purpose of this dildo style looking blade?

I have a Silent Soldier for 2012. The edge went a down a little too far into the choil and it wasn't that hard to cut yourself. They added more of a space between choil and blade. They fixed this in subsequent models.

Yea it's expensive. Until you've tried a zero ground convex blade you won't ever get it

I'm from the Philippines but I was able to get delivery of mine just the other day (07/25/2024). I don't know where my dealer gets his stock. I was also able to buy a Benchmade 940BK-2004 from him last year. That was a Blade HQ Exclusive from 2020 or 2021 I believe. Also earlier this year, I was able to buy a Demko AD20.5 which is also a DLT Trading Exclusive. Anyway, however way he's doing it, I hope he keeps doing it. My Yojimbo came to me perfectly centered. Now it seems to slightly off to the clip side. It also does not want to drop. It's like you need to break a point and when you do it closely very smoothly. I might need to take it apart. Possibly some dirt on the pivot. Had that happen to one of my older Spydercos before.

One thing that I learned about the hook blade, it takes a swing, and sometimes you can’t swing you must jab..The Tanto blade is the absolute best out of the 3…. I found that out firsthand when I was in Armada Iraq 👍🏾

Wow brother we have the same story....collected many types of high end knives for years and then got the Bugout. I have since been on the same journey with customs and exclusives of this model alone. One of the best knives ever made to due to being tough yet super lightweight and having so many options to make it your own 🤙

To me definitely looks like you could EDC a lil' matriarch, the tip doesn't look as weak as the civilian's, and not that different to a Karambit-style blade such as the Harpy of the Byrd Hawkbill, am I wrong ?

Yo! So jelly u own a blackout Hawk..I need one!! I I "inherited" a SOG Snarl from a friend and quickly became my primary EDC. When I finally learned about the silent soldier I spent hours online trying to find one in stock. I got super lucky and found a blackout SS Tanto and couldn't believe my persistence paid off. After that I'd regularly checked eBay, etc and found an SS v1 & v2 which I much preferred to the Tanto. The tanto looks super cool but was impractical for my uses. I kinda gave up looking for them bc I didn't feel a pressing need and they were so hard to find. I really like some of Brous's designs but I simply cannot afford most of them. Although I think I'm gonna get a BYGONES ….the scales on the handle look so sick. Anyway, just sharing your enthusiasm for the Silent Soldier line and Brous designs in general.

Where do you go to buy your knives ??? Do you have a spyderco manix 2 in 4v??

So it’s only a defense knife if you’re slashing?? Seems less effective, if you jab wrong the rounded part won’t do much. I would assume your typical edc straight blade would be more versatile. I enjoy your videos.

Any you don't sell, is it possible to have a sale off that? Even at that same price. As i submitted the 2 most wanted and plan on 2 more later. Not knowing if I'll get them, I'd try for others if i knew i didn't get them.
